Paul Cooney
Associate Director
Originally from Brighton, England, Paul has spent almost two decades building a career around one simple philosophy: treat people exactly how you’d want to be treated. It sounds straightforward. In practice, it has helped him build one of the most respected careers to arrive on Australian shores.
Starting as the tea boy in a family estate agency at just seventeen, Paul worked his way through every level of the business. Nearly twenty years later, he has listed and sold more than A$870 million worth of property across 589 homes, owned multiple businesses, collected industry awards, and built a reputation extending well beyond the streets of West London.
The numbers speak for themselves. The relationships are what Paul values most. Paul believes property has never really been about property. It’s about people, their stories, and the next chapter they’re preparing to write. His energy is infectious, his enthusiasm genuine, and his ability to connect with just about anyone is what keeps clients coming back time and again.
His own next chapter began behind a microphone. In mid 2024, while still building his career in London, Paul sat down with Marty Fox for an episode of the WTF – With the Fox podcast. A conversation about culture, branding, family and the future of real estate uncovered a striking alignment between them. That meeting became a friendship, the friendship became an opportunity, and Paul eventually packed up his life, travelled 10,500 miles with his family, and made Melbourne home to join WHITEFOX.
For Paul, moving halfway across the world wasn’t simply about changing countries. It was about joining the business he believes is the coolest real estate business on the planet.
Now joining the WHITEFOX Carlton team as Associate Director, Paul brings international experience, relentless optimism, and a level of service that’s impossible to fake. What drew him to WHITEFOX wasn’t just the brand. It was the people. A team that shares his belief that relationships come first, hard work never goes unnoticed, and success is built by genuinely good people.
Home is now Carlton North, where life revolves around his wife, their daughter Loe, live music and dancing, good food, fitness, and making someone smile every single day. Because whether he’s negotiating a deal, celebrating with a vendor, or simply meeting someone for the first time, Paul believes every interaction should leave people feeling better than when he found them.
